Dr Amir Janmohamed is a general and invasive cardiologist and cardiac
electrophysiologist based at the Rouge Valley Health System (Centenary
and Ajax Pickering Hospitals) in Scarborough and West Durham, Ontario.
He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster
University and his medical degree from Aga Khan University. He subsequently
completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowship from University of Toronto. He completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology training at St. Michael’s Hospital of the University of Toronto. He has been in full-time cardiology practice.
He is currently the Medical Director of the Arrhythmia Services at Rouge Valley Health System. As an arrhythmia and cardiac devices (pacemakers and defibrillators) specialist he manages patients with palpitations, arrhythmias, syncope and sudden cardiac death syndromes. Many young and older patients with significant personal and family histories of these symptoms can be rapidly risk stratified for benign versus malignant conditions and receive appropriate and timely care in their community. Those requiring interventions can be provided access to these with reasonable wait times for their care. His clinical interests are also in all patients with general cardiac symptoms for primary prevention to tertiary interventions.

Dr. Bhanot is accepting referrals with the aim of maximizing non-operative strategies and therapies for musculoskeletal ailments. He has a broad network of Orthopaedic Surgery Sub-Specialists to whom he will refer patients when operative intervention is needed.
His ongoing research on quality improvement and patient safety, and his strong focus on fostering collaborative relationships with patients and colleagues, will ensure the delivery of the best possible patient care. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Hanif Gilani

Dr Hanif Gilani completed his Medical Residency in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine. He is dual board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). He has an MPH from Yale University.
Over the last few years, he has developed a passion for disease prevention, aspiring to go upstream to impact the lives of his patients. He brings to each patient interaction a person-centered approach hoping to improve our most valuable asset, our health.
Dr Gilani has also been involved in Global Health projects as a Co-Lead of the World Health Organization’s African Partnerships for Patient Safety (APPS) Project between Griffin Hospital, USA & Tigoni District Hospital, Kenya.

Dr. Ahmed N. Hassan MD FRCPC MPH Psychiatrist

Dr. Ahmed Hassan
MD FRCPC MPH
Psychiatrist
Dr. Hassan is an addiction psychiatrist and a clinician scientist at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health. He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto.
He completed his psychiatry residency, mood and anxiety fellowship and Addiction fellowship at the University of Toronto. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeon of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of psychiatry and Neurology. He completed a master of public health degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
He has a particular research interest in the bio-psycho-social and spiritual aspect of addictions, improving the care for patients with concurrent disorders with a focus on patients with both substance use disorder and stress-related disorders.
